A Sunday stroll

I took a walk around a few hutongs on Sunday afternoon because it was such a nice day. It snowed at the beginning of the month and has been so cold ever since. But yesterday, yesterday was what I would call a perfect winter day with the temperature hovering around 50 degrees. I left my toasty apartment with only two layers on today.
After a 30-minute bus ride, I ended up at Guozijian Hutong. I ate at a small cafe that serves breakfast, which includes eggs, bacon, toast and a cup of coffee, for 28 kuai.
I walked down a few more hutongs and shot some photos. I need to get out more, but the wind has been so painful. I’m still not used to the winter weather, but it’s only going to get colder. Also, I suppose I also haven’t take photos lately because my surroundings now seem so familiar to me after 7 months.
But I will be heading home soon and I need to get out and explore some more before my time is up.
Sometimes Beijing seems so drab, especially when the pollution takes over the city. But there are splashes of color everywhere, you just have to look for them.
